(TMS) Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate brain cells, which may improve symptoms of Depression, Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, PTSD, other mental health conditions, and migraines. TMS's primary use is for patients who have not responded to antidepressant medication or have suffered side effects from antidepressants.

TMS is a relatively new procedure, and every health insurance provider has different guidelines for treatment. Therefore, before your initial assessment, you should contact your insurance provider to determine if TMS is covered.

Patients with a history of seizures, metal implants, or objects in or near their heads may not be appropriate candidates for TMS Therapy. As with any treatment protocol, you should consult your doctor or psychiatrist to determine if TMS Therapy may be right for you.
